"Today, on the 7th July, 2009, i officially cease to be manager of this great football club. It is a sad day for me, my family and my fans.
The reasons for my departure are simple. I can no longer cope with the weight of public expectation that is associated with this job. It is too much. I also refuse to be aligned with any far-right supporters group.
My 5 weeks in charge of this club have been the greatest 5 weeks of my life. It has been a roller-coaster ride of monumental proportions and every minute was like waking up next to a beautiful woman and i will certainly miss the day to day hustle and bustle of this role, but i urge the fans to fully support whomever is lucky enough to take over my role"
