Team News vs RS2

With four days to go, the Ghosts have announced that Illusionista fans will get their first chance to see Alex Civello and Rob Edmonds, both of whom have been included in the squad for Monday's clash with League leaders RS2.

The news comes as a league correction changes the score between The Grand and Varndean Academicals from 4-9 to 0-9. This now means the Ghosts climb a place and no longer hold the worst goal difference in the league.

As yet uncapped Italian Alex Civello has played for a number of teams down the years, including Bristol Vets, The Royal Veterinary College and Wembley Maccas. Civello can play in both defence and up front and is known affectionately as Chiv or Nando.

Journeyman pro Edmonds is best known from his season with the Maccas, where he was largely employed on in attacking positions. Cricket fans may remember him from his years as a wicketkeeper for various clubs in the Sussex area. Edmonds is known to team mates and fans alike by the monikers Skeletor, Edmo, Robson and Robaldinho Santos.

While most fans are overjoyed to see two of their heroes available for selection, it is thought some members of the small but vocal Poltergeist section of fans are angry to see the club diluting the blood of the team.

In other team news, fans have been rocked by a rumour circulating on several websites based in in the Balkans that Tom Stewart has been offered Bahraini citizenship in order to bolster their ranks ahead of their crunch World Cup Qualifying match with Saudi Arabia, scheduled for September 5th. The club has yet to issue a denial and Stewart is known to have recently signed a contract with Simon Fuller allowing him to exploit his image in the lucrative middle eastern market.

Uzbek champions Bunyodkor are said to be interested in uniting flair goalkeeper Rob Gill with their star striker Rivaldo. Although this has been denied by their new manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.

The provisional squad for the game against RS2:
Rob Gill
Tom Stewart
Alex Civello
Ralph Miller
Rob Edmonds
Brett Crossingham
